It's after his ex Emma-Jane Woodham rocked up on Friday night, causing a major row with current Love Island partner Sophie Gradon.
After a nasty shouting match between Tom and Sophie, he told her: “The situation is getting on top of me a lot; I’m struggling to handle it.”
Tom came to a dramatic conclusion, declaring: “I think it’s probably best I go [home]. I’ve been thinking about it all day.”
Tom then returned to the bedroom to start packing and told his fellow Islanders that he’s going home.
With a heavy heart, Tom admitted in the beach hut: “I don’t want to be here anymore. [Sophie] told me that I’ve pushed her over the line. I'm the reason she's unhappy.
"I’ve tried to explain to Sophie, but she’s not having any of it. I’m not being in here without her. I can’t do it.”
His fellow Islanders were quick to try and make him stay, while outside Sophie began to cry over the day's dramatic events.
But has Tom really left the Love Island villa?
We'll have to wait until Monday night to find out with all the latest from 10PM on ITV2.
