Zara Holland says goodbye to the Love Island 2016 villa in tearful exit on tonight's show
Having received news from home about her mum, Zara yesterday gathered the Islanders to make a big announcement in scenes that air this evening.
Zara tells the Islanders: “My mum’s in hospital. So I’ve got to go home. I don’t want to leave at all. I just don’t want to go.
"I’m having the time of my life here, and I feel like I’m in a good place and what happened happened and I’ve moved on. And I just wanted to show everyone who I am, and nothing’s changed me.”
With tears in her eyes in the Beach Hut, Zara said: “I’m disappointed to be going but family is everything. I’m going to remember every single little bit of being in the villa. I’ll never, ever, ever forget this.”
With Zara packing her bags and preparing to depart, other Islanders paid their tributes to Zara in the Beach Hut.
Kady aid: “She’s so sweet, she wanted it so bad in here. But she’s got to be with her mum.”
Terry added: “She’s had some real bad luck the last few days and I think everyone’s felt the impact of it.”
With Alex now left single, he began to mull over his options in the villa: “With Zara unfortunately having to leave it brings me back to being single again. And there are two single girls in the villa. So I have a bit of control again.
"Both those girls I’m sure want to stay in the villa so I will make them work for it. So far Tina is in the lead and I just think I’ll get on better with her if we were to couple up.”
Love Island airs tonight at 10PM on ITV2.
