Zara Holland is told she has lost her Miss Great Britain title on tonight's Love Island 2016.
The organisers of Miss GB announced on Friday that they had taken the decision to 'de crown' her following an intimate night in the hideaway on the ITV2 show.
Over the weekend, Zara was told of the news off camera and she gathered the Islanders to tell them.
Bursting into tears, Zara revealed: “I need to speak to everyone. I’ve just had some news. They’ve taken my title off me. They’ve done a statement and stuff just saying ‘it’s not acceptable.”
Elaborating further in the Beach Hut, Zara continued: “I did Miss Great Britain because I wanted to. It’s something I wanted to do. And if you put that hard work in and the commitment and the time and the effort…I did and I won, and I worked so hard.
"And now I just made one silly, stupid mistake of being in the moment has ruined everything. I can’t even put into words how gutted I am. So if they want to give me it back that’s fine!”
But in a reassuring moment, Olivia defended Zara’s actions, telling her: “If I saw that I’d think, that’s b***s***, you’re a normal girl. Everyone in here would say it as a girl, if I saw that I’d fume.
"You’re being yourself, if they don’t want that…I’m sorry that’s a role model for me. She’s going to be onto bigger and better things and she doesn’t need that crown.”
Alex was equally as supportive towards Zara, telling the Beach Hut: “I think it’s a bit bad that Zara’s been stripped of being Miss Great Britain. I do really feel for the girl.”
Vowing to put the news behind her, Zara declared: “I just feel like people are going to judge me. I guess it’s just been a bit of a rollercoaster in here and now this has happened. I want to carry on as normal. But anyhow, onwards and upwards.”
Love Island 2016 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
