Last night we saw the pair get intimate on a date in the Hideaway and following their 'close encounter', Zara told the beach hut: “Alex and I got to know one another. Putting it in so many words.
"You know when you’re in the moment and it just happens. That’s really not like me at all. Why couldn’t we have just gone to sleep?”
Returning to the villa, she confessed all to a shocked Kady: “Did you sleep with him? You slept with him? Zara! Are you joking? That’s the first time that you…Zara you shouldn’t have slept with him.”
Zara begged: “Don’t tell anyone. Please don’t tell anyone.”
But Zara REEAALY should have known better then asking Kady to keep a secret.
She blabbed to the other Islanders: “She’s an absolute idiot. What a stupid girl, why would she do that? Who’s she going to cry to when he doesn’t want to be with her? I’m so annoyed with her.”
Kady then told Scott: “She’s (Zara) been playing the victim. 100%. She’ll be in it until the final. Girls never feel good enough. Girls always go for the good-looking d***heads.
"She finally gets attention from someone and she sleeps with him because she felt wanted. And now the boy doesn’t want to know her. This happens to girls every day. She’s so relatable. I don’t think she’s been true to herself in here.”
As the morning wore on, Zara was continually repentant, telling the Beach Hut: “I’m really disappointed. It’s my own fault though. I can’t blame anyone else for my own actions. What’s done is done, but it isn’t like me that’s what I’m trying to say. This is so out of character for me to do anything like this. I shouldn’t have done it, I shouldn’t have. I’ve probably ruined everything with Adam as well, which is more annoying.”
Going to Sophie for advice, Zara tearfully told her: “I wouldn’t even do that if I was in a couple with someone. I just feel like everyone’s going to judge me.
"But look it’s not like me…at all, it’s so out of character. Like I’ve never had a one-night stand or anything. Even when I’ve been seeing guys, I don’t just sleep with them on the first night.”
Zara finally approached Adam, and once again relayed her regrets about the situation: “Obviously you’ve got the drift of what happened last night. But that is not like me at all, I’m pretty mortified about what happened. I feel like I’ve let everyone down in here but that isn’t me. It’s out of character.”
Keen not to let go of the possibility of coupling up, she then told him: “I like you and I want to get to know you and I feel like I’ve messed everything up. Like big time. Massively.”
Meanwhile, there was a question over how Olivia would react to their night together, particularly given Olivia and Alex’s flirtatious exchanges the day before.
With Olivia’s worst fears confirmed, she told the other girls: “Told you, they didn’t come up (last night). I had a gut feeling. They stayed in there because he’s a player and Zara fancied him. I just think he’s a boy at the end of the day. When there’s a girl laying there in a really revealing dress you ain’t gonna say no are you? I wouldn’t if I was a lad.”
Olivia went on: “Me and Alex last night we were having a laugh and we spent quite a lot of time together. Zara did know that I fancied him, so I thought, ‘why did you go in there and bang someone?’ It does annoy me.”
With Alex deciding to speak to Olivia, her mood remained unforgiving. She told the Beach Hut: “The one thing that I didn’t want to do when I came in here was be mugged over. And I feel like I’ve been mugged over so many times. It’s getting ridiculous.”
