Rachel Fenton and Rykard Jenkin reunite on Love Island 2016 tonight after last night's shock revelation.
After her exit from the villa, Rachel was told by host Caroline Flack about Rykrd's secret bedtime fling with Olivia Buckland.
In tonight's show, Rachel arranges a meeting with Rykard, ready to seek the truth on how he really feels about her.
Rykard began: “Me and Liv got intimate at one point when we (Rykard and Olivia) were a couple. And the reason why I didn’t say anything about it, especially to you, was because Liv didn’t want it to come out.”
Rachel was unforgiving: “Of course she didn’t.”
Rykard continued: “Of course she didn’t, but at the same time remember she is my friend.”
Rachel: “So it was her loyalty over mine?’
Rykard: “No of course it wasn’t.”
“The thing is, for me it’s not you doing it that was the most horrible thing. It was the fact that you kept it from me. Which hurt me more than anything," Rachel explained.
Rykard replied: “I know it hurt you, yeah. And I know it’s hurting you now, but please believe me, you were going to know because I told Tom, so you were going to find out eventually.
"Why did you not take the opportunity to tell me? It was the night after we were in the Hideaway. I just feel like none of what we had was genuine. I’m questioning it. I just don’t know.”
Rachel’s angst then turned towards Olivia, with Rachel suggesting that Olivia’s behaviour throughout the show had been nothing more than game playing: “Why did you suddenly turn and have sex with another girl in a bed next to me? I cannot help but think that she’s playing the biggest game in that villa.
"If she wouldn’t have got with Adam to get immunity she would be out. If it was me that did something like that I would have told my friend and I wouldn’t have kept it a massive secret. She slept in a bed next to me and kept that from me.
"I had conversations with her about you and how happy I was, how much I liked you and she could literally look me in the eye and still know that she slept with you a day after we had that amazing night together.”
But Rykard was determined to stand by Olivia, defending their dalliance and putting it down to their shared rejection in the villa.
But Rachel sobbed: “You don’t seem like you’re sorry. I just think you need to build a bit of trust back up. It’s a massive thing for me. You know I’ve been cheated on in the past.
"And it’s difficult for me to trust people, let people in. It is difficult I genuinely thought when I first got with you that you were a nice boy. It was a horrible, horrible thing for me to hear. I doubted everything that you said.”
In a last ditch effort to regain her trust, Rykard read her a self-penned poem.
Yes, he wrote her an actual poem.
When you arrived with your elegance and beauty,
I never predicted you’d be my tall, blonde cutie,
Never met someone so sweet in all my years,
My favourite thing about you are those big beautiful ears
See how Rachel reacts to THAT when Love Island airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
