Olivia Buckland and Zara Holland face off on Love Island 2016 tonight over new guy Adam Maxted.
With the next recoupling looming, both girls have been making a move on the latest addition to the villa.
But Zara reckons Olivia is just game playing: “I find it really hard just to sort of, not keep cool, but to think about what I’ve got to do to play this game. If I’m in a relationship or I’m attracted to a guy, I just am.
"I can’t play games. It just isn’t me. I don’t want to have to change or think about playing a game, or an act for anyone. I am who I am. Take me or leave me. It’s just hard, because I feel like a couple of people in here, especially one person in particular, it is playing a game.
"When Adam walked in, I totally fancied him from the minute he walked in. I liked him for his personality, I liked him for his looks. [Olivia] said ‘oh I don’t fancy him’ on that night. And now all of a sudden apparently because he’s got a tattoo on his arm, she’s all over him.
"I don’t see how a bit of ink can change someone. All I can say is, whatever happens, whatever relationship I’m in, I’m a thousand percent loyal and trustworthy and honest.”
Zara concluded: "It is what it is. He’s not doing anything wrong. Liv isn’t doing anything wrong. Yet.”
While talking to Sophie later, Zara admitted that the rivalry with Olivia was beginning to take its toll: “So stressful. I’m stressed. Because it’s like the ball’s in his court. It’s just annoying, because I really like him and I don’t feel like she did.”
However Sophie disagreed, saying: “No, she does. I think she might have just told you that she didn’t to make things easier for herself.”
In the end, Zara and Liv decided to sit down and talk.
Olivia said: “I just wanted to speak to you because obviously at first I never really said anything about Adam. I think it’s come across that I didn’t fancy him or didn’t whatever but I just, after the thing with Terry, I keep my cards very close to my chest because I got burnt. But I didn’t want you to feel like I was being sly.”
Zara replied: “No I didn’t at all.”
The girls' discussion came to an end as they agreed that it was up to Adam to pick however he preferred.
Olivia said: “I can’t change it. You can’t change it. No one else in here can change it."
A text then arrived: “Islanders later today there will be a recoupling in which each boy will chose a girl to couple up with.
"The public will then vote which couples are a perfect match. Those with the fewest votes risk being dumped from the island. Decision time, choose wisely.”
Love Island 2016 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
