Things heat up between Rykard Jenkins and Rachel Fenton on Love Island tonight when they go a hot date together.
Arriving for their date in the Hideaway, Rachel spotted the massage oil and playfully teased: “Massage oil. Oh my god. You’ve definitely got to give me a massage with that.”
Rykard, currently officially coupled with Olivia, was more than happy to oblige, telling her: “Do you actually want a massage? Alright, I’ll give you a massage. Listen, I’m the don at giving massages.”
As the date moved into the Hideaway bedroom, Rachel told the Beach Hut that the signs were positive: “He keeps giving these little looks, and I’m like ‘oh my goodness.’ He looks really good tonight. I really fancy him.”
Rykard was equally as impressed by Rachel, telling the Beach Hut: “It was nice to have a girl that’s so intelligent. Actual intelligent conversation. It wasn’t about social media. And it wasn’t about clubs. It’s so amazing to talk to someone like that. When I’m around her, I feel myself becoming smarter.”
Meanwhile in the villa, Scott was confident in predicting where things would be heading: “I think Rykard’s got it in him to put it right on her toes. To go in for the kiss.”
His words proved prophetic when Rykard took his chance and leaned in for a passionate embrace while massaging Rachel. As their steamy clinch continued, the pair were interrupted by a message reading: "Rachel & Rykard, you can now choose whether you’d like to return to the villa or stay overnight in the Hideaway. #alonetime"
Torn by their predicament, Rachel summarised her dilemma in the Beach Hut: “One side of me thinks that I’d really like to stay there. But then the other side of me thinks this was our first date. We’ve already kissed on the first date which isn’t usually my style. And especially with Liv, it might be taking the p*** a bit.”
The next morning, with Rykard filling the boys in on the details of the night before, he was unaware that Olivia could hear every word in the next room.
“I was sitting upstairs in the make up room and you could hear Rykard talking about it.” Olivia revealed. “They kissed apparently. I haven’t spoken to her about it. I’m not really in the mood yet.”
Malin was there with words of support: “Just see how they act with each other today. If they’re hugging and talking more then you’ll know but if they don’t then it’s just because they had champagne last night. Do you know what I mean? Champagne does stuff to you.”
Love Island 2016 continues tonight on ITV2 at 9PM.
