There's two very different tales of romance in tonight's episode of Love Island.

First, as it’s Jordan Ring’s birthday, there is a party in the villa that evening to celebrate.

As the Islanders gather round, Zoe Brown says to Jordan: ‘You make this place such a fun place to be, we love you…happy birthday!’

And the pair announce that they have become an official couple.

With the party in full swing, and the Islanders covered in green spray paint (as a nod to the Incredible Hulk), Jordan says: ‘Everyone’s dressed up, spray painted, people are dancing round the pool, there’s a silent disco going on, drinks are flowing, what more can you ask for? Eleven people I really care about in this villa celebrating my birthday, I’m never going to forget it.’

As the party comes to an end, over in the hideaway Zoe is giving Jordan his birthday present…and this is one he won’t be forgetting in a hurry as the pair consummate their relationship.

However things aren't going so well for Jess and Max after he drunkenly admits to wanting to "crack on with Naomi" after she broke up with Josh.

In the make-up area, Hannah tells Jess what Max and Jess is furious: ‘What? Are you joking? I am so angry, I need to speak to Max one-on-one.’

Jess goes and confronts Max: ‘I have started to like you Max, and obviously it’s not nice for me to be second best in here, it happened to me once with Josh…why have you gone for her (Naomi) and you can’t be a**ed with me anymore? You just not interested or what?’

Max tells her: ‘I’ve got massive respect for you…I just thought I’m looking for a longer term thing in here and I see that more with Naomi than I would with you…and that’s nothing against you.’

A hurt Jess says: ‘Being second best all the time doesn’t make me feel does make you feel like s**t…I think you’re stupid to even go there.’

Later in the beach hut, Jess declares: ‘Naomi strikes again, she gets what she wants, she’s a sly little f**king snake... I can’t f**king stand her.’
