As part of a new twist, Naomi and fellow newbie Daisy Muller have free choice of the guys and
Naomi revealed she had every intention of causing upset amongst the couples.
She confessed “I think everyone’s fair game. We’re all single. This whole loyalty thing I don’t understand. We’re all here to have fun, and just have a good time.
"It’s going to be hard for me to take somebody’s guy. But Josh is completely my type. To a T. Luis isn’t my type but the more time I spend with him, the more I think he’s really good looking.”
Naomi’s arrival had an immediate effect on the dynamic between Jess and Josh, as Josh told Jonathan “I’m not going to lie. I fancy her me. She’s fit though. Fit, Fit. I fancy her.”
When she and Naomi found themselves alone together by the mirrors, Jess then took the opportunity to quiz Naomi on her feelings for Josh, with Naomi stating “I’ve said in the Beach Hut, Josh is my type to a T.”
As the awkward exchange continued, Jess responded “That’s fine babe. I understand it’s out of your control and that. But for me, obviously I’m close with him. For you to take him away from me, I’m not going to be happy. It’s going to ruin my time in here. Just keep that in your head. It’s totally up to you but I will be devastated babe. Bear in mind that I will be devastated. I know it’s not about me but I’ve shared a bed with Josh for seven days and we’ve been really close.”
Jess continued “just have a little bit of respect for me. I’m not bothered about what you want and stuff, but for me to be in here and….I knew this was going to happen.” With that, she descended into tears, as Naomi attempted to comfort her.
Jess then unleashed her frustrations about Naomi in the Beach Hut, stating “have a little bit of respect. Like girl code. I would never come in here and no matter how much I fancied someone, I would not take a guy of a girl that I knew she liked. It’s just wrong if you ask me, completely wrong.”
Later, Jess and Josh had an argument in the living room, as several of the islanders looked on.
When Jess pushed Josh as to what he thought about Naomi, he told her “she is good looking, I can’t deny that she’s good looking. I’m not just going to stand here and say ‘no.’
Clearly not giving her the response she wanted to hear, Jess snapped “you literally have no respect do you? Absolutely no respect. For me, or for women. You clearly don’t. As soon as a girl comes in you just completely back off of me. Then you try and turn it round because we’ve been arguing.”
But Jess’ jealousy pushed Josh further away, as he told her “she’s a good looking girl, I’ll try cracking on with her. What else do you expect me to say? No she isn’t? Lie to you? If I lie to you that’s me not being honest to you. So if you don’t like the truth, don’t ask me the questions.”
Jess continued “obviously I want to know the truth. How do you think I’m going to feel in this house now, knowing that you want to crack on with her. Do you think I’m alright about that? Clearly not. You’re young, you think you’re jack the lad.”
Jess then hurried upstairs, with Jordan proclaiming “this place is falling apart” and Omar adding “there’s no family any more mate.”
Josh was then clear-cut about the situation between him and Jess during a conversation in the Beach Hut: “It’s over with me and Jess. We just had a big argument. It’s one of them you just take it with a pinch of salt. I’m sure she wanted me to lie because she was like ‘how did your date go?’, I went ‘yeah it went good.’ And Naomi is a gorgeous girl.”
Jess then sobbed to Hannah, where she revealed her true feelings about Naomi, saying “I’m not even bothered about him, it’s the fact that I’ve completely been mugged off for a little blonde rat. Don’t mug me off, no one mugs me off.”
