Love Island is returning to ITV only this time there will be no celebs in sight.

A "revamped" version of the show will air on ITV2 later this year with members of the public.

The show was oirignally on our screens back in 2005 and 2006 as it tried to matchmake between celebs, including Calum Best, Alicia Douvall, Brendan Cole and Paul Danan.

This time around the show is open to members of the public: The chosen cast will spend six weeks living like celebrities in a beautiful villa and getting to know one another.

But to remain in paradise they must win the hearts of the public who ultimately decide who stays on Love Island.

ITV Studios creative director of entertainment Richard Cowles said: "Our singles will live like celebrities but have to win the hearts of the public to survive.

"Will they pursue true love or are they just playing a game? The new look Love Island will decide."

ITV's director of digital and acquisitions Angela Jain added: "The all-new, revamped and reworked Love Island promises excitement, surprises and fun for ITV2 viewers."

The search for singles is already on and if you're interesting in apply to be on Love Island, you can follow this link.
