He's gone from hosting weekend music shows on Channel 4 to primetime entertainment on BBC One, but now Let's Dance presenter Steve Jones has his eyes set on the states. The hunky welsh telly personality revealed he was still a "serious contender" in the competition to host The X Factor USA.
Chatting to Fabulous magazine this week, Steve teased: ”I don’t know if I’ll get it, but I’m a serious contender. I’ve known Simon Cowell for quite some time. He likes me; we connect."
The 33-year-old also spoke about his reputation as a one heck of a ladies’ man - saying he didn't mind it one bit! “I like being single, I’m definitely not thinking about marriage and kids," he explained, "I want to keep having fun and enjoying life. What’s wrong with that?”
Steve also confessed that while he may have dated a string of hotties, including his Let's Dance co-presenter Alex Jones, he's terrible with relationships. "The big joke is that I'm not actually very good with women at all," he admits in the magazine. "Forget all the stories, look at the facts. I'm single. I've never had a long-term relationship. Does that make me a success with women or not? I personally think I'm terrible when it comes to the whole relationship thing."
