Antony Cotton has become the winner of Let’s Dance for Comic Relief 2013, becoming this year’s champion after tonight’s tense – and comical – final.

The comedian performed to Step In Time in tonight’s final, after winning the second heat last month.

This week, the power was entirely in the hands of the viewers, as their votes decided who was crowned the twinkle-toed champion of the dance floor. The panel of judges, Frank Skinner, Jo Brand and Greg Davies will be offering their opinions on all of the performances.

Jodie Prenger finished as runner up, while Lee Nelson, Tim Vine, The Soap Stars (Ricky Groves, Claire Sweeney, Natalie Cassidy and Dean Gaffney) and Katherine Ryan all took part in tonight’s final.

Calls and text throughout the series raised over £1 million for Comic Relief, which airs next Friday on BBC One.

Speaking about his win, Antony told Let's Dance hosts Steve Jones and Alex Jones: “I'm speechless, I just want to thank everyone who voted because it's all for charity and it's a real honour."

Tonight's show also saw performances from Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift.
