Ant and Dec batter Let's Dance for Comic Relief 2013 in ratings again

Let's Dance For Comic Relief 2013

Ant and Dec triumphed over Let's Dance for Comic Relief 2013 in Saturday night ratings battle again last night.

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway burst back onto our screens last week for the first time in four years with more than 6 million viewers.

Last night's second instalment rocketed up in the ratings even further, attracting not only a higher average audience but also a massive peak of more than 8 million viewers.

The pressure saw yet more viewers flee from BBC One's Let's Dance, which has been on a sharp downward trajectory since the first live heat.

Yesterday evening's final heat - won by Jodie Prenger and Lee Nelson - was down a further 500,000 on last week, down over 2 million viewers on this year's launch show.

No doubt both Ant and Dec and ITV will be pleased, but the BBC aren’t going to be too happy.

Ant and Dec’s show continues into April along with Britain's Got Talent, while Let’s Dance finishes next weekend on March 9 before the return of The Voice UK.
