Let's Dance for Comic Relief 2013: Alex Jones wants to take part (but not Steve Jones!)

Let's Dance for Comic Relief 2013

Let's Dance for Comic Relief 2013 host Alex Jones has admitted she wants to take part in the show, but co-host Steve Jones isn't so keen!

The pair are back on our screens tonight with the second live heat of the series, but we shouldn't be expecting any pirouettes from Steve.

Alex teased: "They asked last year whether Steve and I would do a little number. I would have, but Steve would rather eat his own arms.

"He’s so gangly and he really can’t dance. But I would like to see him do something!"

A gloating Steve quipped: "As the host of the show, thankfully, I think I’ve dodged that bullet!"

Meanwhile, the pair revealed what they thought it took to win Let's Dance 2013.

Alex said: "I think you’ve got to go in to it with the right attitude. It’s about people having fun and entertaining the audience, evoking something in them that will make them pick up the phone and vote. I think it doesn’t need to be polished but to win they have to go for it – have no shame!"

While Steve laughed: "The skin and dancing skills of an elephant."

The stars on this weekend’s second live heat include comedian and impressionist Jon Culshaw, soap star Anthony Cotton and the cast of Waterloo Road.

Let's Dance for Comic Relief airs tonight on BBC One.
