Let's Dance for Comic Relief 2013

A huge audience of more than 6.7 million viewers watched the first heat of Let's Dance for Comic Relief 2013 last night.

Comedian Tim Vine and The Soap Stars - Dean Gaffney, Claire Sweeney, Natalie Cassidy - became the first two stars to make the final.

Other stars who performed on the night included Ricky Hatton and Olivia Lee and there were also performances (of sorts) from The Script and Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh.

An average audience of 6.75 million viewers tuned in to BBC One for the show, more than Dancing On Ice is currently getting on Sunday nights.

However next weekend will see the show go up against the return of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway on ITV.

Elsewhere and Take Me Out had fewer than 4 million viewers while Jonathan Ross, who's guests include BGT hosts Ant and Dec, had 2.8 million.

Let’s Dance for Comic Relief 2013 will continue next weekend on BBC, with musical guests including JLS and Katy Perry.
