Tonight's telly: Let's Dance for Comic Relief kicks off on BBC One

Let's Dance for Comic Relief 2013

Let's Dance for Comic Relief 2013 kicks off on BBC One tonight with the first live heat.

Tim Vine and a host of other stars will be donning their dancing shoes in the first episode of entertainment extravaganza Let’s Dance For Comic Relief on Saturday.

Fronted once again by Alex Jones and Steve Jones, the showdown kicks off on 16 February and will span four weeks, with three star-studded Saturday night heats culminating in a grand final on 9 March. Each week, viewers at home will get the chance to vote for their favourite act who will gain a place in the final.

Also appearing throughout the series will be Ricky Hatton, Nina Conti and Jon Culshaw, among others.

Once again, our dancing celebrities will be judged each week by a panel of top TV personalities that will feature such comic legends as Frank Skinner and Jo Brand. Each week, the judges will choose from the runners up to join the viewer’s favourite in the final.

EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy, joking one line king Tim Vine, boxer Ricky Hatton and presenter Olivia Lee are amongst those who will be taking part in the first show tonight, plus there's a performance from Kimberley Walsh.

Judges due to appear over the live shows this month include Jason Manford, Lisa Riley, Lee Mack, Frank Skinner, Jo Brand, Greg Davies, Sarah Millican and Mel Gledroyc.

Let's Dance for Comic Relief 2013, 6:50PM, BBC One.
