Five boys will be leaving in tonight's first Let It Shine live results show.
This evening sees the first of three live finals to decide one winning band from the five left in the competition.
The groups going into tonight's live show are Drive, Nightfall, Iron Sun, Five To Five and Neon Panda.
In tonight's double bill, each band will first perform one song each in the Main Show. After they have all performed once, the viewer vote will open.
In the Results Show the viewers’ decision is revealed. The three bands with the highest viewer votes will have a “safe pass” through to next weekend
However the two bands with the lowest viewer votes will have to perform again for the judges Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue, Martin Kemp and - for this week - guest judge Ricki Lake.
The bands will each sing a new song each having drawn lots for the songs and the individual lines they will sing.
The panel will the decide the five best individual boys - rather than the best band - to save based on both their second performances and the performance in the main show. The other five boys will be sent home. In the event of a deadlock over the decision, Gary will act as “Head Judge”.
This means that the judges may choose to keep all five boys from one band or a mixture from the two. If neither band is kept intact then the band with the majority of members remaining will keep its identity and the members from the other band will join their ranks.
Let It Shine airs live tonight at 6:55PM on BBC One with the performances and again at 8:45PM with the live results show.
