Let It Shine premiered to an audience of 6.3 million viewers between 7PM and 8:25PM back on January 7 but last week dipped by a million viewers to 5.3 million. In rather good news for the show, this weekend saw number stay the same with 5.3 million viewers.
The Voice UK, which used to air on BBC One, made its debut on ITV for series six with its least watched launch to date at the start of the month.
An average of 6 million viewers (including ITV+1) tuned in, putting it behind Let It Shine. However last week The Voice UK saw 5.5 million viewers, leapfrogging its BBC One rival.
Last night The Voice dipped slightly to 5.4 million leaving a gap of just 100,000 viewers between the two shows.
While The Voice UK once again claimed victory over Let It Shine on the night, the spinning chair series continues notably down year-on-year compared to the final run on BBC One.
Meanwhile, earlier in the evening on BBC One yesterday, Pointless had 4.8 million viewers - down 200,000 on last week - while after Let It Shine Casualty remained steady with 4.8 million viewers.
Drama series Taboo continued to decline, dipping 600,000 viewers week-on-week to 3.5 million, now 1.3 million viewers below the launch two weeks ago.
Over on ITV, Ninja Warrior UK jumped 300,0000 viewers week-on-week to 3.4 million but Through the Keyhole with Keith Lemon dipped slightly to 3.2 million viewers, down 200,000 on last weekend.
