Comedian Russell Kane has quit I'm A Celebrity's ITV2 spin-off Get Me Out Of Here Now.

The stand up will leave the show after three years in order to focus on his stand up work and tour.

Laura Whitmore and Joe Swash will both be back for the new series in November, The Sun reports.

“Russell is leaving to focus on other shows," a source told the newspaper yesterday. “He has been a great member of the team and his comedy monologues are part of I’m A Celebrity’s history.

"But his leaving is the perfect opportunity to look again at the show and refresh it.”

An ITV spokesman confirmed to the tabloid: “We have loved having Russell as part of the team for the past three series and we wish him all the very best of luck.”

Russell commented: "It was one of the most thrilling, seat-of-my-pants, jungle-sweaty jobs of my life. I’ll miss it like an early bus.”
