Former I'm A Celebrity contestant and UK rapper Aggro Santos has today been officially charged with two counts of rape, following an investigation into claims made against the star. The singer, who has performed with Kimberly Wyatt and Kimberley Walsh, will appear in court later this month.
Aggro – real name Yuri Santos – appeared in last year's series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! alongside Stacey Solomon and Dom Joly.
The two incidents - which date from May 2011 and September 2010 - allegedly saw Aggro and a friend sexually assaulted two girls.
In a statement, Sussex Police said: “The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised Sussex Police to charge a man in relation to two separate investigations of rape in Somerset and Sussex and a second man in relation to the offence in Sussex.
“Yuri Santos, 22, of Bickersteth Road, London, has been charged with two offences of rape; one in Chichester on 7 May, 2011, and another in Yeovil between 25-26 September last year.”
The pair will appear before Chichester Magistrates Court on September 19.
