Andrew Maxwell had a choking scare on I'm A Celebrity 2019 as the Bushtucker Trial result left Ian Wright feeling hangry.

ITV's jungle celebs have again been split up, with some remaining in the comfortable Snake Rock while others have been sent to the rough Jailhouse.

Yesterday, Jacqueline Jossa and Myles Stephenson left main camp to face a Bushtucker Trial, winning all six meals on offer.

A twist meant that they would not return to Snake Rock, instead becoming the latest two outlaws.

They had to choose whether to send the meals back where they came from, or take them to Jail.

A game of rock, paper, scissors decided that they'd keep the food for their fellow inmates - and needless to say, the other celebs weren't too happy.

Roman Kemp read a letter informing main camp of the developments, which left them with rice and beans to eat.

Unaware that Jacqueline and Myles had made a random decision rather than a conscious choice, the group was stunned.

Roman defended the duo, saying that as they faced the Trial, it was only fair they kept the reward.

However, Ian snapped: "That's just going to put me in the wrong vibe all day now. I am gutted. Of course I am."

The footballer did express sympathy over their dilemma, adding: "I'm actually pleased I'm not in a situation where I'd have to make that choice.

"It would have actually made me feel terrible."

Nonetheless, the prospect of basic rations left him down in the dumps, with fellow sportsman James Haskell offering a supportive hug.

"I think that is absolutely the right decision but there are bigger fish to fry," the rugby player sympathised.

"It's important that you have these emotions, it's important that you show it but it's important that you put a line under that."

While the result left a bitter taste at Croc Creek, the food itself didn't go down well - literally - in the Jailhouse.

The inmates were later delivered camel fillets for dinner, cooked once again by resident chef Myles.

Dramatic scenes ensued when Andrew started to choke as a particularly large piece of meat got stuck in his throat.

Andy Whyment and Kate Garraway immediately came to the comedian's aid, thumping his back.

To their relief, the meat eventually came out, and he apologised to everyone as Jacqueline offered him water.

"Chew your food, mate, you scared us," reacted Myles.

"You went bright red, I was like 'oh my God'," added Kate.

A relieved Andrew joked: "Let that be a lesson to you kids, chew your camel.

"Not today Lord, not today. Thank you for the second chance."

I'm A Celebrity 2019 continues every night at 9.00pm on ITV.
