The comedian, TV personality and writer has ruled out entering the Aussie jungle for the ITV series.

At least for now.

He said this week: “I got offered the jungle but I didn’t fancy it. If you see me doing that, you know things have gone a bit wrong.”

In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Harry also spoke about his iconic series TV Burp which last aired in 2012.

While Harry said he had no plans to bring the show back, the opportunity has been offered to other comedians.

Harry explained: “It took up my entire life. I’d start watching telly at 9am, take half an hour break for lunch and get back to it.

“Other than going to record the show, I never really left the house. I asked Peter [Kay] to take over but he didn’t fancy it.”

Stand up comic Micky Flanagan was also approached, but Harry added: “It didn’t work out. He was too busy.”

For now, you can catch Harry Hill on Alien Fun Capsule on Saturday nights on ITV.

The comedy panel show sees Harry Hill preside over two teams of celebrities tasked with saving planet earth from alien invasion!

Helping Harry Hill fill the fun capsule and prevent an alien invasion in the first episode were Martine McCutcheon, Les Dennis, Alison Hammond and Sir Tom Courtenay.
