Stephen Mulhern is the favourite to replace Ant on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Ant has stepped down from his ongoing TV commitments for treatment in rehab.
It's already left Dec concluding Saturday Night Takeaway alone and he'll return solo for the Britain's Got Talent live shows.
Now Stephen Mulhern has emerged as the new favourite with Ladbrokes to present this year's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
The bookies have priced up a whole host of runners to potentially take over from Ant & Dec, and it's now just a 6/4 shot for the Geordie pair's TV pal to get the gig.
That puts him ahead of Scarlett Moffatt (5/2), who was once the clear favourite, while a Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield duo is priced at 9/2. Caroline Flack is offered at 5/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Stephen Mulhern's odds of presenting the hit ITV show Down Under have never looked stronger, with the BGT presenter overtaking Holly, Phil AND Scarlett at the head of the market."
Stephen this week suggested that Ant wouldn't be back to host I'm A Celebrity this year.
The Britain's Got More Talent host told Best magazine: “Fingers crossed, Ant will get the treatment he needs and be back to his old self for next year.
"But he does need the rest and to be left alone, and given the time to recover.”
“I’m going to miss him on the live shows, but Dec will do a great job," Stephen added.
A source insisted to the Daily Mirror that right now “no-one has any idea” how long Ant will be away from TV screens.
"He’ll be off for as long as it takes him to get better," they said. "Work is not even being discussed with him. The only priority is him getting better.”
I'm A Celebrity will air on ITV in the autumn.
