The TV and Radio host spoke out about his jungle experience in the week, saying it had a “profound effect” on him.

Iain was one of the celebrities on the cast for the latest series last autumn.

It was Toff who won I’m A Celebrity 2017, beating Jamie Lomas into second place. Iain finished third in the live final back in December.

Speaking on his talkRadio show this week, Iain revealed: “I saw my psychiatrist today, because ITV are paying for three sessions with my psychiatrist.”

He explained (via the Daily Mirror): “I’m with this psychiatrist because I wanna come off my antidepressants because there was a minor relapse a few weeks ago with stuff going on. I said the jungle was weird and had a profound effect on me.

“I said the best way I can describe it… after I took LSD the first time, and I’ve only done it a handful of times, for the next year at least I saw and perceived everything differently.”

Following the comments on air, Iain took to Twitter to say he wasn’t “in therapy”.

“Ha ha ha ha ha ha. For the first time in ages I’m NOT in therapy… like its any of your business…” he posted in a message on the social networking website.

An I’m A Celebrity source told the Mirror: “All contestants are checked by a medic and a psychologist after leaving camp.”

Meanwhile chatting on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, Iain said of his time in the jungle: “It was horrendous and amazing and nothing in between.”

He continued: “Things have been amazing. I consider myself to be a connoisseur of reality TV and I have always loved live TV. It’s been crazy.

“I found myself on Loose Women – I love that show – and I had to slide down a chimney and pour cream all over Joey Essex’s head.
