ITV's top boss is confident Ant McPartlin will return to work in time for this year's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The taller half of Ant and Dec made headlines earlier this year when he admitted himself to a rehab centre over an addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs.
His troubles cast doubt on the popular duo's telly commitments, with ITV reportedly offering Ant a year off work to recover.
However, he made quick progress and checked out of the facility earlier this month.
Now it appears Ant WILL be back in action for I'm A Celebrity, the next major show in his schedule.
The subject was brought up during ITV director of programmes Kevin Lygo's session at the Edinburgh TV Festival yesterday.
Lygo suggested he'd rather rest I'm A Celeb for a year than find a new presenter, calling Ant irreplaceable.
There's no need to worry, however, as he added that he's "expecting" the show to go on.
"Ant is doing really well and we’re expecting him to return to I’m a Celebrity, so we won’t be resting it," Lygo commented (via Radio Times).
At one point, a rumour claimed that Holly Willoughby could join Dec in the Australian jungle for the new series.
ITV recently agreed a new three-year exclusivity deal with Ant and Dec. The Geordie duo are regarded as the broadcaster's most important talent.
Ant still has around two months to rest before I'm A Celeb, as it's not due to return until mid-November.
