I'm A Celebrity 2016 winner Scarlett Moffatt felt like she didn't deserve to be on the show

Gogglebox favourite spoke to Ant and Dec before being crowned Queen of the Jungle

I'm A Celebrity 2016 final - new Queen of the Jungle Scarlett Moffatt

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! winner Scarlett Moffatt has described her experience in the jungle as "better than I ever could have imagined".

Last night's grand final saw the Gogglebox star go head-to-head with Joel Dommett after Adam Thomas came third in the viewer vote.

Scarlett eventually became the new Queen of the Jungle, leaving Joel as the runner-up.

Before the result was revealed, the the top two joined Ant and Dec in the studio to talk about their time on the ITV show.

Scarlett said it "exceeded" her expectations and grinned: "I might be the only person that ever says this, but I wish I could do it again!

"I’ve never felt so happy, which is weird because I hate camping!"

She singled out the 'Celebrity Cyclone' Bushtucker Trial as one of her highlights, telling the hosts: "That was on my bucket list, after meeting you two. Some people dream of winning a million pounds, mine was doing the Cyclone!"

The 26-year-old also explained her personal journey, claiming she at first didn't feel like she deserved to be taking part.

She explained: "I didn’t expect it to have any cliches in life. I watch it and think, 'what are they crying for, it’s been three weeks'. Now I know!

"When I first walked in, I felt like I’d snuck in through the back door. I feel like I need to have more confidence in myself. I doubt myself constantly."

Joel also gushed about his experience in the Australian outback. "I knew it was gonna be a good experience, but I didn’t expect it to be this good," he said.

"I’ll miss the simplicity of it, we’ve talked a lot about how scary it is on the outside world. You should have a sister show - I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Back In There!"

The comedian was touched when Ant described him as the glue that held the campmates together.

"That’s a nice thing for you to say," he smiled. "You deal with so much, the hunger, the fear, the tiredness, being away from your family… if I had to deal with arguments as well, I genuinely don’t think I’d have been able to do it."

Tune in to ITV on Wednesday at 8.00pm to find out how Scarlett and Joel settled back in to the outside world in I'm A Celebrity's 'Coming Out' special.
