He may be one of the most popular campmates on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2016, but Joel Dommett reckons the show won’t boost his profile in the media.
The celebs traded stories of their brushes with the press yesterday, with Adam Thomas recalling the time he made a front page after kissing former I'm A Celeb contestant Helen Flanagan.
"Did she do it and immediately scream 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here'!?" joked Joel.
Wayne Bridge told how the paparazzi caught him with his wife, Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, in the early days of their relationship.
"We were in Manchester on only the second or third time we’d seen each other," he revealed. "We popped out to Blockbuster, and as we left, the paps were in the car park.
"Some of the stuff she’s gone through press wise... she’d end up reading it all and it would end up affecting her. That’s what upsets me more than anything."
The ex-footballer added: "I am just one of those people that kept myself to myself. I just wanted to play football and that’s all I ever wanted."
Wayne asked Joel if he is concerned about how his life will change after the show, which is watched by roughly 10million viewers.
The comedian - arguably one of the least known stars in this year's series - didn't seem too fazed, claiming: "I feel like they're not going to care about me when I come out of here."
However, it seems Joel knows something about him has made headlines - his sex tape. "We’re just all human beings and sometimes you happen to get caught masturbating on the internet!" he laughed.
Joel has been a smash with I'm A Celebrity viewers, with bookies currently ranking him as the second favourite to win.
"I think Joel's gonna be in for a shock when he gets out," Adam said. "He's not gonna know what's hit him."
