I'm A Celebrity 2016: Wayne Bridge wins eleven meals after CROC encounter in 'Panic Pipeline' Trial

Ex-footballer thrilled after one-upping Adam Thomas

I'm A Celebrity 2016 contestants: WAYNE BRIDGE

Wayne Bridge won eleven meals for his I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! campmates after facing a CROCODILE in the 'Panic Pipeline' Bushtucker Trial.

With viewers now voting for who they want to eliminate, yesterday the celebs had the responsibility of choosing who would face the Trial for the first time.

Wayne drew the short straw and met Ant and Dec at the 'Panic Pipeline', commenting: "I think I’ll be alright. I’ve done all the other Trials and not seen anything as I’ve kept my eyes closed."

However, Ant thwarted his strategy by revealing that this time, he'd be actively looking for stars.

Dec explained: "Down this ladder is the Panic Pipeline, which is a series of chambers and tunnels. You’ve got 10 minutes to find the 11 stars that are down there."

Of course, Wayne wasn't alone - but he remained calm as he encountered toads, yabbis, eels, mud crabs and spiders in the first three sections.

It wasn't until the second water tank that he lost his cool - coming face-to-face with a fully grown crocodile.

A swearing Wayne tried his best to keep still as he reached for the stars, but had to swim right past the croc to get out.

After going against a torrent of stinky water to reach his final few stars, the ex-footballer emerged from the tunnels.

"Sorry for my language," he laughed. "I’m buzzing, I’ve done it. That crocodile, honestly, it was moving so fast, I wouldn’t want to do that again."

Having won all eleven meals available, Wayne returned to camp elated that he'd beat Adam Thomas and avoided a ribbing from the Emmerdale actor.

"I got more of a percent that you," Wayne teased the actor. "You only got 11 out of 12, I got 11 out of 11!"

I'm A Celebrity continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV.
