The I'm A Celebrity 2016 contestants go head to head in a brand new twist this evening.

There was no public vote for a Bushtucker trial yesterday, with hosts Ant and Dec joining camp to make a surprise announcement.

"We have news," the pair told to the group. "Today the public have not been voting for one of you to take part in a trial. That's because today is the start of a brand new challenge called Claim of Thrones."

Ant and Dec explained that all 12 of the current celebrities will be taking part in a new challenge.

Four of the celebs will emerge victorious and Claim A Throne in Snake Rock camp.

They'll enjoy luxuries including hot showers, food and pampering sessions as they live like royalty.

The other celebs will become their subjects and will have to live off basic rations.

But that's not all.

"At the end of the task, the four reigning will be immune from first public vote off," Ant and Dec teased.

In this preview clip, we see the group of 12 split in half to each take on a trial called 'Vicious circle'.

Placed in critter coffins, each celeb is joined by snakes on their head, cockroaches over their bodies and a surprise at their feet.

And it's fair to say that some celebs take on the challenge better than others...

But who will triumph and Claim A Throne?

Those who need to save themselves include Strictly's Ola Jordan, Diversity's Jordan Banjo and TV and Radio host Lisa Snowdown who are currently the favourites to be first out of camp this year.

On the other hand, Adam Thomas can probably relax as he's become the new favourite to win I'm A Celebrity this year with Ladbrokes yesterday.

The results of the trial will air tonight (Wednesday).

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here airs nightly on ITV.
