I'm A Celebrity 2016 campmates reunite as Scarlett Moffatt is named new President

Martin Roberts and Danny Baker make up after their gloating argument

Martin Roberts and Danny Baker cleared up their gloating row when the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestants reunited after the Hungry Games - while Scarlett Moffatt has become the new President.

The first major argument erupted after the yellow team won the live Bushtucker Trial, as the blues accusing them of gloating over their success.

After the yellows ate a slap-up dinner at the Jungle Spa, team captain Danny Baker was cautious about upsetting his rivals.

"There was a feeling of trepidation," he observed. "They’re not eating, morale is low and it looked like they were going to be punished again."

The blues soon joined them back in camp, having won five meals in a fish gut forfeit at the Rancid Retreat.

Joel Dommett said: "The other guys were very gracious. They knew it would be very hard for us... but I loved hearing what they ate!"

Martin Roberts proceeded to make up with Danny following their clash.

"I specifically went over to Danny and I thought I didn’t want to go over old stuff, I just want to give him a hug and say you alright mate, have you had a good day," Martin explained in the Bush Telegraph.

Danny commented: "He seemed to want to draw a line under earlier on and maybe it’s a brand new dawn. We’ll see how we go from here.

"I think being hungry does something to him, maybe that’s the key to it."

Later, it was revealed that viewers had voted Scarlett Moffatt to be the new Camp President, with Joel as her Deputy.

"I have a promotion!" exclaimed Scarlett. "I don’t know if I’m going to be good as Larry [Lamb], but I’m going to try my hardest."

The pair had a chat, with comedian Joel revealing how he's finding the show tough. "I thought I was going to come here and be constantly quipping," he mused.

"When you feel like you’re low it’s so hard for me to find funny."

Scarlett vowed to bring a positive vibe back to camp. She said: "Today the rivalry got us down. Hopefully me and Joel can help keep the spirits happy."

In her first act, the President reallocated the chores as follows:

  • Chefs - Larry and Wayne Bridge
  • Maintenance - Martin and Adam Thomas
  • Washing Up - Danny and Carol Vorderman
  • Cleaners - Sam Quek and Jordan Banjo
  • Gardening - Lisa Snowdon and Ola Jordan
