I'm A Celebrity 2016 contestants to take on 'The Hungry Games' in live trial

The I'm A Celebrity 2016 contestants will face a hunger games-style round of trials on the show tonight.

There was no viewer vote during last night's show, with Ant and Dec instead visiting camp to introduce two new celebrity contestants.

First was Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts, who quipped: "I love what you've done to the place!"

He was followed by broadcasting legend Danny Baker, and the pair - who were also meeting each other for the first time - shook hands.

However, they barely had time to breathe before Ant and Dec revealed that they were now rivals.

The newbies each had to partner with an original celeb, with Danny picking Carol Vorderman, and Martin choosing Sam Quek.

These pairs yesterday went head-to-head in the next Bushtucker Trial, named 'Rank Tanks'.

But that was just the start of producers plans for 'The Hungry Games'. The pun makers are really going all out this year...

Over the next 24 hours, the celebs will split into two teams go head to head in a series of tasks and games.

The winners will enjoy a (relative) luxury jungle life but the losers will have to slum it.

“This trial is certain to divide the camp and will no doubt cause friction,” an insider told the Daily Star newspaper.

They added: “It will be the real-life Hunger Games when some celebs get to feast and others are left with
empty stomachs.”

The twist will culminate during tonight's episode with this series' LIVE Trial.

Tune in to ITV tonight at 9.00pm for the results of 'Rank Tanks' and the live trial.
