Danny Baker says he's going to retire after I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
The broadcasting legend was revealed last night as one of two new celebrities who will enter camp tonight.
And an eager Danny revealed he actually approached the show to take part, rather than the other way around.
Danny said: “I’m one of the few people who actually asked. The only show I’ve ever wanted to do is this. It’s like being asked to do a West End musical.
“This is, in modern TV, as good as it gets. They fly you around the world, put you in a hotel with a beach, then you play games in the jungle.”
The comic said he'd have signed up sooner were it not for his battle with cancer which left him being fed through a tube in his stomach.
Danny told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’m bullet-proof, no problem. The reason I couldn’t do the jungle last time is, for a few years, I couldn’t eat properly and it only passed about 18 months ago.
“They put this hole in my chest where I had to feed through it."
But the radio host said beating cancer wasn't the reason for deciding to sign up.
“No. I’d like to say that but it didn’t," he explained. "I didn’t learn a damn thing from being at death’s door for eight months. I would have done this 10 years ago, five years ago."
I'm A Celebrity airs tonight at 9PM on ITV as Danny and fellow newbie Martin Roberts enter live.
