Former England footballer Wayne Bridge is the latest name rumoured for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The sports star has been tipped to enter the I'm A Celebrity 2016 jungle when the show returns to screens later this month.

Supposedly, show bosses are hoping for gossip about Wayne's row with former team mate John Terry over an alleged affair with his ex-girlfriend.

A source told The Sun newspaper today: “Wayne never really sought fame when he was a footballer so it’s surprising he agreed to go in the jungle.

“But ITV believe they’ve made a real coup getting him on board as he’s never discussed the John Terry scandal before."

The insider added: “They’re secretly hoping the subject crops up during while the celebs talk endlessly around the camp fire to pass time.”

ITV aren't confirming anyone officially just yet, saying all names are "speculation".

Alongside Wayne, more names rumoured include Broadcasting legend Danny Baker, Actor Larry Lamb, and TV presenter Carol Vorderman.

More names linked to the I'm A Celebrity 2016 cast include Craig Charles, who appeared briefly in a previous series, Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding and Gogglebox's Scarlett Moffatt.

Then there's footballer Robbie Savage, American actress Ayda Field, who is married to Robbie Williams and ex Strictly pro Aliona Vilani.

More rumoured celebrities include Olympian Sam Quek, Absolutely Fabulous' Helen Lederer and a range of soap stars including Neighbours' Olympia Valance and Emmerdale's Fiona Wade and Adam Thomas.

I'm A Celebrity 2016 begins on ITV on November 13.
