Actor Larry Lamb has apparently signed up for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2016 - after being inspired by his former flame Lady Colin Campbell.

The Mirror claims Larry has landed a six-figure deal for the ITV show, and will fly to Australia next week.

"It’s a mega coup for the show, they have wanted to get Larry for a long time and he finally agreed to it this year," a source said.

"He is very popular with the ladies, especially older housewives. He’s going to be a massive hit."

According to the paper, the 69-year-old was avid viewer of the last series - starring Lady C, whom he reportedly dated in the 1970s.

"Larry loved last year’s show and he was enthralled by Lady C, especially because they’ve got history," the insider continued.

"He found it all very entertaining and can’t wait to give it a go, he’s a big fan."

Larry - known for his roles in EastEnders and Gavin & Stacey - may need to be extra careful in the jungle, as he became 80% deaf in one ear after catching malaria in 2010.

I'm A Celeb is back in around two weeks' time, and the new series could be the most terrifying yet.

Bosses have ordered half a million bugs for Bushtucker Trials - while crocodile vagina will be served up in eating challenges.

Other rumoured contestants include Olympian Sam Quek, actress Ayda Field and ex-footballer Robbie Savage.
