TV presenter Carol Vorderman could be set to brave the jungle on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2016, it is claimed.
According to The Sun, ITV bosses are in talks with the 55-year-old and have offered her a six-figure pay cheque.
They apparently hope she'll draw older male viewers to the show, with a source explaining: "She is well-known and still carries a lot of sex appeal.
"ITV chiefs are also hoping that she will be the brains of the camp. She’s a TV legend and they’re prepared to splash the cash to land her."
Maths whizz Carol is best known as the former co-host of Countdown. She took care of the numbers and letters on the Channel 4 gameshow for 26 years before being replaced by Rachel Riley in 2008.
She was also a regular presenter on ITV's Loose Women between 2011 and 2014, and fronted Simon Cowell's ill-fated cookery show Food Glorious Food. Earlier this year she beat Martin Kemp on Channel 5's Lip Sync Battle UK.
The new series of I'm A Celebrity is inching closer, with Ant and Dec due to return to our screens with its sixteenth series in mid-November.
Other rumoured contestants include actors Craig Charles and Ayda Field, former Strictly dancers Aliona Vilani and Ola Jordan, and TV personality Lisa Snowdon.
Meanwhile, the show's ITV2 spin-off is undergoing major changes this year, with a new name - 'Extra Camp' - and presenting team led by reigning Queen of the Jungle Vicky Pattison.
