Craig Charles is set to return to I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here following a previous appearance in 2014.
The Coronation Street actor and Red Dwarf star had flown out to Australia two years ago but was forced to withdraw after just days in camp following the sudden and tragic death of his brother.
Craig was informed by producers that his brother had passed away following a suspected heart attack, prompting Craig to leave the show and fly back to the UK.
He told the other celebs at the time: “I’m out of here. My brother died. I’ve got things to sort out.”
Craig had been tipped to a appear in last year's series, but the show clashed with filming for the latest series of Red Dwarf.
Now The Sun newspaper reports that show bosses are keen to finally get Craig back in the camp for this year's series.
"The producers are eager to get Craig back in the jungle after he had to sadly leave so early on in the run two years ago because of his brother’s death," a source told the tabloid.
The insider added: “They think he would be happy to return and pick off where he left off in 2014 but are happy to make him an offer he might not be able to refuse.”
The new series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here will be back on ITV with Ant and Dec in November.
