Nigel Farage has reportedly been offered £250,000 to appear on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Following his standing down as leader of UKIP after Brexit, Farage is apparently on ITV's wish list of celebs for this year's jungle series.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper the channel is in fact "desperate" to sign him up.
A source told the tabloid today: “It would be TV gold to see Farage chomping on kangaroo anus or a turkey testicle in a Bushtucker Trial.”
They added: “This year, everyone is talking about Brexit, so producers are desperate to snare one of the biggest names from the Leave campaign for the jungle to make it the most talked about series yet.
“Farage is a win with British voters – so producers think viewers would be keen to pick up the phone and nominate him to be covered in cockroaches or fish guts."
If Farage does end up in the jungle he'd be far from the first politician to join the show: Other names from past series have included Edwina Currie, Lembit Opik and Neil Hamilton.
Speaking about appearing on a reality series now he's stepped down from UKIP, Farage said in the week: "I’m well known for saying what I think and for not holding back on my opinions.
“So I think if I got into one of those situations it could be tricky.”
He added: “I’m hoping there could be a brand new programme called Strictly Come Drinking. I’d be very good at that one.”
I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here airs later this year on ITV.
