The former TOWIE cast member and now star of his own ITV2 show, Educating Joey, wants to take over from Laura Whitmore on the jungle spin-off show.
Joey, who previously appeared as a contestant on the main I'm A Celebrity show, said: “The jungle was great for me – I love that show.
"I smile whenever I think about it. It was one of the best things I’ve done."
He told the Daily Star on Sunday newspaper: “It’s such an experience. You’re so far away from home and obviously you’re in the sun. And I’m a sun person and I like animals.”
Earlier this year Laura confirmed her exit after five years fronting the sister series to ITV's main show.
"After 5 incredible series working with my extended I’m A Celeb family, I’ve taken the tough decision to hang up my jungle boots," Laura wrote in a message online. "It’s been such a wonderful experience but I feel it’s time to move on.
"I wish the team well and look forward to tuning in later this year as well as continuing to work with ITV on other shows."
While Joey has put his name forward for Laura's job, so have plenty of others with Vicky Pattison, Caroline Flack, Myleene Klass and Stacey Solomon all linked to the show.
I'm A Celebrity and its spin-off will be back on ITV and ITV2 in the autumn.
