Lady Colin Campbell has revealed that she was advised not to join I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2015 by one of her sons - because she is 'too civilised'.
The socialite - who obtained her title from her fourteen-month marriage to Lord Colin Campbell - is known for exposing royal secrets in her books, such as her Princess Diana biography 'Diana in Private: The Princess Nobody Knows'.
So it's unsurprising that her eldest son reckoned she's above slumming it on the jungle reality show with a bunch of D-list celebrities - who this year include Union J singer George Shelley and Most Haunted presenter Yvette Fielding.
"They invited me to go on the programme and I agreed, but my eldest son actually didn’t want me to do it at first," revealed Lady Colin - who, at 66, is the oldest female contestant.
"He thought I was too civilised to do something like this, but once I had made the decision I was going to do it, he was, of course, very supportive. I am going to miss my children, cats, dogs and my life so much."
It seems her nearest and dearest were right to be concerned, as bosses are thought to be cooking up some of the nastiest Bushtucker Trials ever for the new series.
A report claims that there will be new items on the menu for the infamous eating challenges - including duck feet and bush pig semen.
I'm A Celebrity returns to ITV on Sunday at 9.00pm.
