Ferne McCann and Love Island’s Adam Collard in National TV Awards bust up
A big bust up at the National Television Awards on Tuesday night has caused major drama.
Reality stars Ferne McCann and Adam Collard were reportedly involved in a huge row after the ceremony.
Former TOWIE star Ferne and Love Island’s Adam are said to have come to blows over comments Ferne allegedly made about Adam’s girlfriend and fellow Love Islander Zara McDermott.
The Sun reports that Adam accused Ferne of “bullying Zara” while she allegedly “hurled drink in his face” after he apparently branded her a “pathetic little s**g”.
An onlooker told the tabloid that it “all kicked off massively outside the official after-party” between the pair.
Another witness alleged to the Daily Mail newspaper that Adam had gone on a “full tirade” in his argument with Ferne.
“Ferne was desperately upset by it,” they claimed. “All the reality stars were watching. There were three people from Love Island, two ex TOWIE personalities and two Made In Chelsea stars on the scene.”
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the newspaper: “An allegation of common assault was made to police by a man, aged in his 20s, following an incident with a woman, also aged in her 20s, at the O2 Arena on Tuesday, 22 January.
“No one was injured during the incident. There has been no arrest. Enquiries continue.”
A rep for Adam confirmed he had made an official complaint while a pal of Ferne’s insisted she was acting in “self-defence” having tried to “make peace” with Adam.
In a statement on social media, Adam shared: “I’ve had no other option but to post this. There’s been various speculative stories at this time about an incident that happened at the NTAs on Tuesday. Would like to clarify my position.
“There was an incident involving myself, Zara [McDermott] and another. The O2 contacted police. I’ve been advised not to comment by the authorities who I have full confidence in to investigate and prosecute if necessary.
“The whole situation was caught on CCTV and will be there for all to see and make their own judgment. I’m fine and I’m supporting Zara through this unnecessary situation.”
Ferne also posted a statement.
She wrote: “To be clear, I have never thrown a glass at anyone.
“I am not proud of reacting the way I did to the serious abuse and intimidation I was subjected to and I should not have thrown a drink. However, I am not sure how someone who said the things he did about my daughter and me is seeking to portray himself as a victim.”
It’s said that the bad blood began when Zara slammed Ferne last year for apparently messaging Charlie Brake while he was dating her pal Ellie Brown.
“There’s a bit of history with Zara because Zara previously stuck up for her BFF Ellie when she was feuding with Ferne McCann over her now-ex boyfriend Charlie,” a source told the MailOnline.
