Described as a fully immersive, interactive and family friendly experience, the I'm A Celebrity... Maze will see guests face creepy crawlies, dark tunnels and other jungle hazards at rainforest temperatures.
It kicks off with a welcome briefing from presenters Ant and Dec, ahead of a trek through various hallmarks of the show's set in Australia - including camps Snake Rock and Croc Creek, as well as the Vile Vineyard and the Catacombs of Doom.
In the first Trial, 'Holey Moley', 'campmates' must put their hands through holes in a large rock face to to unlock a secret corridor leading to the heart of the 'jungle'.
'Chambers of Horror' will see them enter cubicles to answer quiz questions - with wrong answers resulting in them getting drenched in slimy, gungy surprises.
Arachnophobics will face their fears at the 'Calamity Caves', where they must duck and dodge their way through cobwebs without bothering the eight-legged bugs.
The epic conclusion will see contestants battle high-speed winds and water jets in a version of the fan-favourite 'Celebrity Cyclone' in an attempt to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.
The attraction - a collaboration between the theme park and ITV Studios six months in the making - is fitted with state-of-the-art technology and animatronic special effects, including moving trees and walls, a vibrating bridge walkway, and 'leg ticklers' which simulate the feeling of being covered in bugs.
Thankfully, there are no eating challenges involved - but it does come with a 'Bush BBQ', where guests can enjoy a bite to eat with sauces such as 'mealworm mayo' and 'critter coleslaw'.
Thorpe Park's Mike Vallis said: "After thirteen years of watching I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on the small screen, we’re delighted to offer our guests the chance to brave Bush Tucker Trials inspired by the hit TV show. You don’t have to be a celebrity to grab a slice of the action on our island! And the good news is that we don’t expect any of our guests to chew on a kangaroo’s less palatable parts."
Claire Heys, ITV's director of commercial brand partnerships, added: "We’re thrilled to be able to bring the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Maze to the public and give them a chance to share in the fun we have on the set. Thorpe Park is the perfect location to bring the hit series to life."
The I'm A Celebrity... Maze will open to the public on Friday 27th March.
