Melanie Sykes and Kendra Wilkinson turned out to be a dream team in yesterday's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Bushtucker Trial, 'Critter Conveyor'.

This time the celebs were instructed to put two of themselves forward - and Carl 'Foggy' Fogarty suggested they should be girls, as the previous day's challenges were completed by boys.

Melanie immediately said she was up for it - but everyone was surprised when Kendra said she'd be happy to join her, having already done her fair share of the trials.

"Did you think you’d ever see me volunteer?" joked the Playboy girl.

Hosts Ant and Dec were equally as shocked when she turned up at the clearing, with Dec asking her: "What the hell are you doing here?"

It was explained that they'd each sit in boxes, as ten puzzle pieces passed through on a conveyor belt. Kendra had to grab the pieces, use five to make a star, then pass the other bits on to Mel so she could do the same.

However, they weren't alone in the boxes, with Kendra getting covered in cockroaches and mealworms - while Mel finally came face to face with snakes.

"I think I’ve just aged ten years," she groaned. "This is it for me. This is my biggest fear."

Predictably, Kendra begun screaming as her dreaded cockroaches got in her clothing - but the pair eventually conquered their phobias and secured all six of the available meals for their campmates.

"f I see a cockroach in my kitchen, from now on I won’t be scared," claimed Kendra.

The rest of the group congratulated the girls as they returned to camp, with Edwina saying of a particularly chuffed Mel: "She had a smile so wide you could see it from behind her."

I'm A Celebrity continues tomorrow night at 9.30pm on ITV.
