I'm A Celebrity 2014: Kendra Wilkinson accused of playing up to the cameras

Kendra Wilkinson, trial

Michael Buerk has suggested that Kendra Wilkinson is playing up to the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! cameras following her mixed success in the Bushtucker Trials.

In last night's show, Jake Quickenden and Jimmy Bullard jokingly branded the Playboy girl an 'actress' after she ended her losing streak by earning ten meals - only to keep the news secret until dinner time.

But now more serious questions are being raised on whether Kendra - who's starred in US series Girls of the Playboy Mansion, as well as seven seasons of her own shows - is using her reality TV experience to her advantage.

Vicki Michelle raised the topic yesterday, musing: "Kendra’s funny isn’t she? She does some things and goes and gets a ten, and then practically the same things that she’s..."

Michael Buerk - who's made no secret of the fact that he dislikes the current celebrity culture - agreed, responding: "Yeah, but it’s all that contrivance isn’t it?

"I think she’s doing a reality TV gig. When she thinks it’s appropriate she’ll... like her go at Edwina [Currie] was all for the cameras."

Having had a heated spat with her earlier in the week, yesterday Kendra had to work with Edwina in the latest Bushtucker Trial.

The 29-year-old was asked questions while perched on a dunk tank, with correct answers earning Edwina more time to search for stars on pipes - while wrong answers resulted in her getting gunged.

'Kenwina's teamwork eventually paid off, as the pair returned to camp with a respectable six meals for the campmates.

I'm A Celebrity continues tomorrow night at the later time of 9.45pm.
