Michael Le Vell has been banned from the I’m A Celebrity 2014 line up because he's too boring.
The Corrie star, who has also been rumoured to be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house next month, has been branded too dull for the ITV series.
According to The Sun on Sunday newspaper today, Le Vell had "begged" to take part in this year's I'm A Celeb series.
However show insiders said there was "no chance" of him entering the jungle.
“Michael would have a lot to talk about — since 2011 he’s faced a court case and addiction," a source said of Le Vell's turbulent few years. “But bosses don’t think he will be entertaining.
"They’d rather book someone with charisma and personality.”
A supposed source "close to Michael" told the tabloid this morning he was "gutted", hoping that the show would help pay off some of his recent legal costs.
The source claimed: “The trial and his divorce cost him a fortune, and the fee would have been useful, but he also saw it as a chance to start again.”
A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here commented: “We do not comment on speculation.”
The news means it's not all the more likely that Michael will end up in the CBB house, with the new series starting next Monday on Channel 5.
