The boxer finished third in the contest last week and reckons Dec's hopes of a date with the Pussycat Doll are out bound to be dashed.
The 32-year-old told the Sunday People after his exit: "Ashley has been a revelation. I'm not surprised Dec fancies her.
"She was always doing her yoga every day. Dec might have to learn a few of those moves if he can have any chance at all. Americans can be annoying but she isn't."
It was claimed at the weekend however that Ashley was keen to go out with Dec now she's out of the jungle.
An insider claimed in the Daily Star: “Ashley is hot after three weeks in the jungle,
“She’s been having massive fun with Dec and they’ve hit off brilliantly. He has made it very clear he fancies the pants off her.
“He’s even done a pretend telly sketch using old clips of Ashley where he asks her out.”
Meanwhile David hit out at show producers for their "harsh" task which saw Charlie Brooks miss out on seeing her daughter.
He said: "I thought that was a real harsh game. I understand putting Charlie through some sort of mental torment because she's getting paid.
"But the fact her daughter was brought into it left a bad taste in her mouth and I think everybody else's mouth as well."
He added: "Charlie insisted on speaking to producers off camera. She said they needed to guarantee to her that her daughter is OK.
"I told her the best thing she could do was grit her teeth and give the best she can, which is what she has done."
