Comedian Brian Conley has asked ITV bosses if he can return to the I'm A Celebrity jungle for tonight's final, according to reports.
The 51-year-old was forced to quit the series on medical grounds after malnutrition and exhaustion left him struggling to cope in camp.
He spent two days in hospital being watched by doctors, and has since been recovering in a private villa alongside his family.
However, The Daily Star claims Brian's now well enough that he wants to join finalists Charlie Brooks and Ashley Roberts as the winner is revealed - and producers have agreed, pending further medical advice.
The last episode of each series traditionally involves all of the contestants being reunited around the campfire for the results.
But this year, first eliminee Nadine Dorries will not be present, as she has already flown back to the UK.
I'm A Celebrity 2012 comes to an end tonight at 9.30pm on ITV1.
