I'm A Celebrity 2012 results: Colin Baker eliminated after Bushtucker Trial loss

I'm A Celebrity 2012 - Colin Baker eliminatedColin Baker has become the fourth star to be eliminated from I'm A Celebrity 2012, after he lost to Eric Bristow in a special Bushtucker Trial.

The pair were bottom in the public vote on Saturday night, and went head to head in a special challenge.

In the Panic Rooms trial, Eric and Colin had to collect stars from Hell Holes, which were also filled with various animals.

On tonight's live show, Ant and Dec weighed the stars, with Colin collecting 82 grams to Eric's 264 grams. As a result, the ex-Doctor Who actor left the jungle.

"It feels remarkably good," Colin said of his exit. "I must confess, it is a moment I have in some ways been looking forward to. You may have noticed!"

Speaking about the trial, he explained that he was happy not knowing what critters were hidden in the holes. "If I'd seen some of those things I'd have found it hard to put my hand in," he commented.

"I put my hand through a cobweb at one point so there must have been the spider of my fears in there."

Colin was complimentary about his competitor Eric, whom he wants to win the series. "I adore him. He's my big mate in there. In the early days when I was struggling physically he was the one who helped and encouraged me."

He also defended darts champ over his unsavoury comments in camp. "It's his kind of way of talking to people. He takes the mick, that's what he does, that's the persona. He really is a completely happy camper.

"We all have our moments. We're starving, we're tired, we don't know what time it is. It adds up to frustration. A dozen people who've never met and suddenly they've gotta put up with each other. It's brilliant the way it's evolved."

Colin added that the celebs felt sorry for Helen during the first week of the series, when she consistently failed the food challenges.

"Yeah, we'd have liked food, but she was such a helpless creature. She's turned from being someone who doesn't know left from right to someone who's really on the ball. She's made the biggest journey of all of us.

"Every time we're more bothered about the person than we are about the food."

I'm A Celeb continues tomorrow at 8.30pm with the next regular vote-off.
