The married boxer admitted he may find it hard to ignore some of his fellow celebs as they talk around near naked in camp.
"I'll be on my best behaviour in the jungle I'll try hard," he said.
Speaking before going into the jungle, David insisted he should have no problem with not seeing his wife for up to a month.
He added: "I've made no secret in the past about where I stand with respect to my "no release" policy before a fight, so I don't think it'll be very different in the jungle.
"I've been dong this kind of thing since I was 15, so that will probably be one of the easiest things for me to do."
David, who has two children with wife Natasha, is currently one of the favourites to win the show.
The former boxer has been closing in on favouritism for the last few days, however after a London-based customer placed a bet of £10,000 on him to be crowned this year's King of the jungle Haye's odds were immediately slashed from 4/1 to 11/4.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "The big bet was the final blow and we've been forced to slash Haye's odds. If he goes on to win the show it's safe to say we'll be knocked out by the payouts to punters."
