I'm A Celebrity 2012 news: Helen Flagan struggles with Cruelty Towers trial

Helen Flanagan

Helen Flanagan faces her third I'm A Celebrity 2012 trial tonight, entitled Cruelty Towers.

Based in a jungle ‘hotel’, Helen had to work her way through the hotel’s rooms (a reception and four bedrooms), collecting stars.

There were 10 stars up for grabs, which meant a possible ten meals for camp.

Joining Helen in the rooms was a host of jungle critters.

Hosts Ant and Dec explained the game to the former Corrie star. In the first four rooms she would have to remove the light bulb and release one large star. Only when she had that star, could she start searching for a second star.

Plunged into darkness, Helen would have to use a torch to navigate her way around and collect the stars.

Each room contained an array of jungle creatures, including snakes, a crocodile, ostrich and spiders, whilst the last room contained offal, flies and also featured a collapsing ceiling.

When Helen arrived at the challenge she appeared to be in fighting spirit and said to hosts Ant & Dec, “I want to make a good impression with everybody else. I’m actually looking forward to it. I really want to do this.”

But as she began to prepare for the trial, Helen’s fighting spirit deflated, and she said,

‘I need a few minutes. I’m scared. It just makes me want to go home. If they’re going to keep do this to me every single day I want to go home. I just really want people to stop voting for me. I’m not happy at all. I don’t want to do it.”

Helen decided she did want to attempt the challenge. As she entered the first room and tried to get the first star she was greeted by an Ostrich who she named Olly. She gently spoke to Olly the Ostrich as she navigated getting the star from the light fitting.

Tune in tonight to see how Helen manages!
