Deadly snakes have infested the I'm A Celebrity 2012 camp, it's been revealed.
The I'm A Celebrity line up entered camp yesterday in scenes to be shown on tonight's launch show.
The Sun now reports that storms down under have been driving snakes inland and into the show's jungle.
Queensland snake expert Steve Wilson told the newspaper: “All animals are responding to conditions and moving about in larger numbers.”
“Things will now go crazy for a while," he added.
A show source told the newspaper: “There will be more than 75 cameras on the celebrities in the jungle at all times with experts on hand to step in if a deadly snake is spotted.”
Ironically, the news comes as its revealed that show bosses have a shortage of other types of bugs to use in trials due to a drought in other parts of the country.
The team have reportedly been unable to aqquire enough cockrocaches to dump on the celebs for this week's first set of Bushtucker trial tasks.
“It takes four months for a cockroach to be bred so producers are searching out more supplies to meet their demands," a source revealed. “If they don’t find enough they’ll have to change the trials.”
